Mark your calendars for one of the Great Southern’s most anticipated creative events, Art in the Porongurup 2026! Running from April 3–11, this much-loved nine-day outdoor sculpture exhibition at the Porongurup Hall promises to inspire, delight, and bring people together over the Easter break.
We’re currently seeking sponsors to help reward our talented artists and keep this cherished community event free for everyone. In 2025, we welcomed over 1,700 visitors, and with Albany’s bicentenary and the Porongurup Range’s 100th anniversary in 2026, we’re expecting an even bigger turnout. Sponsorship forms are now available here.
Now in its 24th year, Art in the Porongurup has become a signature event on the local calendar. Set among the natural bushland surrounding the Porongurup Hall, the exhibition transforms the landscape into a vibrant sculpture trail. Visitors can wander through the artworks, vote for the People’s Choice Award, and even purchase unique pieces.
Alongside the main exhibition, the Porongurup Craft Group hosts its popular Art Bazaar inside the hall, creating a lively mix of art, craft, conversation, and community. Families can relax with coffee, cake, and light lunches while exploring the exhibits.
Art in the Porongurup welcomes artists of all backgrounds, established and emerging alike. With no set theme, participants are free to explore their ideas and may submit up to three entries, either individual works or a cohesive series.
This year carries extra excitement as the region celebrates 100 years of Porongurup National Park. To mark the occasion, two special spot prizes will be awarded:
• For the sculpture that best celebrates the Porongurups
• For a school or youth entry that best celebrates native wildlife and its conservation
Hosted by a dedicated subcommittee of the Porongurup Community Association Inc. (PCA), this not-for-profit event aims to foster community spirit and creativity while providing a fun, accessible experience for everyone.
Whether you’re an artist, an art lover, or simply looking for a beautiful day out in nature, Art in the Porongurup 2026 is not to be missed. Join us in celebrating creativity, community, and the stunning Porongurup landscape.
